The aim of the course is to provide a foundation for radiology trainees beginning their on-call radiology duties. It will also be useful for consultants wishing to expand their knowledge of emergency radiology. The most commonly encountered topics and pathologies seen in the emergency department will be covered. Common pitfalls are carefully covered, and there is special emphasis on must not miss topics which create so much anxiety.
Most sessions cover CT imaging, but there will also be lectures covering emergency spinal MRI, plain films in trauma and emergency ultrasound. The interactive sessions are designed to simulate a busy night on call with requests and studies from all specialties.
‘This course is endorsed by the British Society of Emergency Radiology.
